House District 37 (all of Randolph and Pocahontas counties) elects two members.

Bill Proudfoot earned an F from Life Gauge.  In 2006 he voted against a motion to dispense with committee reference, effectively killing a parental notification bill. He voted against Separate Offense legislation on the floor in 2004.  He also voted for a harmful amendment to the bill.    He is a Democrat.  Due to his voting record, Life Gauge does not recommend that constituents write to him.

Senate District 15 (all of Randolph, Pocahontas, Pendleton, Hardy, Hampshire and Morgan counties, and part of Berkeley, Upshur and Grant counties) elects two members.

Walt Helmick earned a D from Life Gauge.  For five years, beginning in 2002, Life Gauge asked him to introduce a Life Gauge bill.  He never did.  We finally quit asking.  He is a Democrat whose term ends in 2006.  Contact him at 1105 10th Ave, Marlinton WV 24954, or 799-6829.  Ask him to cooperate with Life Gauge.
