House District 38 (all of Lewis county and the southern tip of Upshur county) elects one member.

Doug Stalnaker earned an F from Life Gauge.  In 2006 he voted against a motion to dispense with committee reference, effectively killing a parental notification bill.  He is a Democrat.  Due to his voting record, Life Gauge does not recommend that constituents contact him.

Senate District 12 (all of Lewis, Braxton, Gilmer and Harrison counties) elects two members.

Bill Sharpe earned a D from Life Gauge.  He did not introduce any Life Gauge bills in 2007 or 2006.  He is a Democrat whose term ends in 2008.  Contact him at 607 Center Ave, Weston WV 26452 or 269-4624.  Ask him to cooperate with Life Gauge.

Joe Minard earned an F from Life Gauge.  In the 2001 legislative session, he was absent for a close and crucial vote on Informed Consent in the Judiciary Committee.  He was at the capitol earlier the day of the vote.  Life Gauge scores an absence as a bad vote, because it is sometimes used as a way to benefit one side of an issue while claiming to support the other side.  He is a Democrat whose term ends in 2010.  Write to him at 510 Haymond Hwy Clarksburg WV 26301 or 622-6488 and ask him to cooperate with Life Gauge. from Life Gauge.
