Jackson County 


House District 12 (most of Jackson county) elects one member.

Mitch Carmichael earned an A from Life Gauge.  He introduced Life Gauge bills in 2006 and 2007.  In 2007 he was not willing to introduce a motion on the floor to discharge the Constitutional Revision committee in reference to HJR 18, which would remove the right to abortion and to abortion funding from the WV Constitution.  He is a Republican.   Contact him at 11 Vail Dr  Ripley WV 25271, or 372-4737.  Thank him for cooperating with Life Gauge.


House District 11 (eastern Jackson county and all of Roane county) elects one member.

House District 13 (western corner of Jackson county, northeast half of Mason county, and northeast Putnam county) elects two members.

Brady Paxton earned an F from Life Gauge.  In 2006 he voted against a motion to dispense with committee reference, effectively killing a parental notification bill.  He is a Democrat.  Due to his voting record, Life Gauge does not recommend that constituents contact him.

Dale Martin earned an F from Life Gauge.  In 2006 he voted against a motion to dispense with committee reference, effectively killing a parental notification bill.  He voted in favor of two harmful amendments to a Separate Offense bill (SB 566) on the floor in 2004.  Due to his voting record, Life Gauge does not recommend that constituents write to him.



Senate District 4 (all of Jackson, Putnam and Mason counties, and part of Roane county) elects two members.

Karen Facemyer earned a D from Life Gauge.  For five years, beginning in 2002, Life Gauge asked her to introduce a Life Gauge bill.  She never did.  We finally quit asking.  She is a Republican whose term ends in 2008. Contact her at Rt 1 Box 142  Ripley WV 25271, or at 372-2260.  Ask her to cooperate with Life Gauge.
