A BILL to amend the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto
a new section, designated §16-2F-10, relating to hospitals not being required
to perform abortions unless the mother's life is in imminent danger.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That
the code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new
section, designated §16-2F-10, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2F. PARENTAL NOTIFICATION OF ABORTIONS PERFORMED ON UNEMANCIPATED
MINORS.
§16-2F-10. Hospital not required to perform abortions unless the life of
the mother is in imminent danger.

A
hospital may not be required to perform any abortion, except
in cases when the life of the mother is in imminent danger.

NOTE:
The purpose of this bill is to not require hospitals to perform abortions unless
the mother's life is in imminent danger.
