A BILL to amend article two-f, chapter sixteen of the code of West Virginia,
one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new
section, designated section ten, relating to allowing hospitals to perform
abortions only if the mother's life is in imminent danger.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That
article two-f, chapter sixteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section,
designated section ten, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2F. PARENTAL NOTIFICATION OF ABORTIONS PERFORMED ON UNEMANCIPATED
MINORS.
§16-2F-10. Hospital may only perform abortions if the life of the mother is
in imminent danger.

A
hospital may not be required to perform any abortion, except
in cases when the life of the mother is in imminent danger.

NOTE:
The purpose of this bill is to allow hospitals to perform abortions only if the
mother's life is in imminent danger.
