Delegate Moye,

On the 43rd day of the 2010 legislature, Tom Louisos asked for a floor vote on this amendment:

Nothing in this Constitution secures or protects
a right to abortion or the funding of an abortion.

The motion lost, 64-34.  That was on the record, showing us which House members vote for abortion to remain a constitutional right in West Virginia.  In May of 2010 Mr. Louisos narrowly lost his bid for re-election.

The 43rd day of this legislature, Wednesday, February 23, 2011, would be a good day to introduce the motion again.  That date at the legislature is appropriately named Tom Louisos Day.
