Letter to a Delegate


It's best if it's your handwriting, your pen, your paper, and your envelope.

One . . . Click here for the name and address of the delegate, which you write at the top of your letter, and on the envelope.  If you already have the name and address, continue to item two, below.

Two . . . Under the name and address, write the date.

Three . . . Write the exact language of the amendment . . .

          Nothing in this Constitution secures or protects a right to abortion
                      or requires the funding of an abortion.

Four . . . Write the name of the delegate.  You can refer to the delegate as Honorable, or as Delegate., or Mr. or Ms.  You may use the first name, or not use it.

Five . . . Write in your own handwriting:

Life Gauge has asked you to make the motion to bring this amendment to the House floor for a vote.  The amendment clarifies that abortion is not a constitutional right in West Virginia.  Please cooperate with Life Gauge, and make the motion. _________________________________________________________________

Six . . . Sign the letter.  Write your mailing address under your name.  Mail it.  Tell Life Gauge what you did.
