           Life Gauge

House District 43

House District 43 (almost all of Marion county, and the southern tip of Monongalia county) elects three members.

Linda Longstreth earned an F from Life Gauge.  On February 24, 2010 he voted against a motion to discharge a committee, effectively killing a Constitutional Amendment that would stop state funding of abortions, and that would allow us to stop abortion when Roe v Wade is overturned.  In 2006 she voted against a motion to dispense with committee reference, effectively killing a parental notification bill.  In 2005 she voted against separate offense legislation (SB 146, roll call 125) on the floor, after voting for a harmful amendment to the bill.  She is a Democrat.

Mike Caputo earned an F from Life Gauge.  On February 24, 2010 he voted against a motion to discharge a committee, effectively killing a Constitutional Amendment that would stop state funding of abortions, and that would allow us to stop abortion when Roe v Wade is overturned.  In 2006 he voted against a motion to dispense with committee reference, effectively killing a parental notification bill.  In 2005 he introduced two harmful amendments to separate offense legislation (SB 146), then voted against the bill on the floor.  In 2004 he voted against separate offense legislation twice, and voted in favor of two harmful amendments to it.  He voted for a harmful amendment to Informed Consent legislation in the Judiciary committee in 2003.  He is a Democrat.

Tim Manchin earned an F from Life Gauge. In 2005 he voted for two harmful amendments to a separate offense bill (SB 146).  In 2004 he voted for two harmful amendments to separate offense legislation (SB 566).

The trajectory of these delegates' rise to power is determined by the Speaker of the House, who uses this authority to convince delegates to vote as he wishes them to vote.  West Virginia's unborn babies will receive no justice in such a political system.  To expose injustice, make it expose itself.  Make the politicians vote.  Make the motion.

Ask Delegate Pasdon in Morgantown to introduce the motion that forces these delegates to vote.  To write a letter to Ms. Pasdon, click here.
