           Life Gauge

House District 28

House District 28 (all of Greenbrier county) elects two members.

Ray Canterbury earned a D from Life Gauge.  Beginning in 2007, every year he refuses to introduce a motion to force a floor vote to overturn the WV Supreme Court's Panepinto decision, which mandates abortion rights and abortion funding in West Virginia.  A Republican, he first served in the 2001 legislature.  To write a letter to Mr. Canterbury, click here.

Tom Campbell earned an F from Life Gauge.  On February 24, 2010 he voted against a motion to discharge a committee, effectively killing a Constitutional Amendment that would stop state funding of abortions, and that would allow us to stop abortion when Roe v Wade is overturned.  In 2006 he voted against a motion to dispense with committee reference, effectively killing a parental notification bill.  In 2005 he voted for two harmful amendments to an Unborn Victims bill (SB 146), then voted against the bill itself (roll call 125).  He voted against Separate Offense legislation in 2004 (SB 566), also voting for two harmful amendments to the bill.  He is a Democrat.
